How do I use the Parental Controls and Content Filter?

FREEmail has content filters to help you protect your children when online from being exposed to explicit material or accessing adult websites. The FREEmail Content Filter, located in the FREEmail Toolbar currently restricts access to over 65,000 recognized adult web sites. FREEmail users can even control the level of protection by creating their own list of ‘off-limits’ websites.

(FREEmail does not make any guarantees that all inappropriate content will be blocked, filtered, removed or that minors will be absolutely safe from inappropriate content. It is always a good idea for parents to directly monitor the Internet activity of children at all times.) Best of all, the Parental Controls and Content Filters are password protected- to keep the off-limits website list truly off-limits. To customize the Content Filter controls click on the ‘Utilities’ button on your toolbar.

How do I use the Pop-Up Blocker?

The FREEmail Pop-Up Blocker works automatically so you can enjoy surfing the web without interruption! When you visit a website that attempts to serve a pop-up ad, you’ll receive a message from FREEmail with an option to block or allow the ad. Checking the box at the bottom of the message lets FREEmail users block all future pop-up ads from that website. Click the Pop-Up Blocker button on the FREEmail Toolbar to view your prohibited and allowed websites and to select even more blocking options.
